Arrest warrant issued for Rams’ Tre Mason, missed court date

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (AP) – A South Florida judge has issued an arrest warrant for Los Angeles Rams player Tre Mason, who was arrested last month on reckless driving and marijuana possession charges.

Online court records show that Mason missed a Monday hearing in Broward County, prompting the arrest warrant.

Police in Hollywood, Florida, say Mason refused orders to get out of his sports car on March 5 after he was pulled over for going twice the speed limit in a 35-mile-per-hour zone. Officers say they used a stun gun on Mason twice.

He is charged with resisting arrest without violence, reckless driving, possessing less than 20 grams of cannabis and failure to register a vehicle. Court records listed no attorney.

Emails to the Rams and Mason’s agent seeking comment weren’t immediately returned Wednesday night.

Mason lives in Delray Beach.
