FORT MYERS, Fla.- With a $500,000 grant from the state of Florida, Fort Myers is moving forward with the first phase of the McCollum Hall restoration project. The city’s redevelopment agency is hoping the building, which sits on the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Cranford Avenue, will be restored back to how it looked in the 1930s. The entire restoration project is priced at $2.3 million. It will cost $900,000 just to fix the outside of the building.
