Bullets fly through Golden Gate City apartments

GOLDEN GATE CITY, Fla.- No injuries were reported in a shooting Tuesday night on Sunshine Boulevard in Golden Gate City.

Frantz Duclous wasn’t home at the time but his wife and kids were when a bullet went flying through his bedroom window and lodged into a wall.

“I was shocked when she told me that because I have like three kids and my mother-in-law in the house and something happened like that, I’m shocked,” Duclous said. “Thank God nothing happened.”

Duclous’ neighbor called 911 after two bullets also went through her bedroom window and shattered her mirror.

Duclous says his wife saw someone run towards the canal afterwards, “I told her ‘did you see who run to the canal?’ She said ‘no.'”

The Duclous family has lived in the same apartment for eight years and says this is the first time anything like this has happened.

“This is a problem, this is bad place and I hope the cops keep an eye on this place because it’s really, really bad with the teenagers,” Duclous said. “My wife said ‘oh we got to leave this place.’ She was really scared last night.”
