It alone costed the school $31,000. FGCU has spent a total of $122,000 hosting the WNIT tournament at Alico Arena. Between the game and a previously scheduled trade show, 6,000 to 7,000 people were expected to pass through Alico Arena on Thursday. It was a packed house when the game began at 8 p.m. The victory sends the team to the WNIT championship game in Vermillion, South Dakota.
