Habitat for Humanity Prepares for Women Build 2016

SAN CARLOS PARK, Fla. – Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties is once again hosting their 2016 Women Build initiative, working to rehab two homes in Lee County.

All in just two weeks hundreds of women volunteers and the soon to be homeowner family will work to refurbishing two homes. One in Cape Coral and one in San Carlos Park, Women Build is an annual project where hundreds of women come together and work to take action against poverty housing.

Over the past six years, Habitat of Lee and Hendry have helped 12 families receive the keys to a brand new home they and the community helped build. Work on this years homes is scheduled to begin on April 23rd and run through May 6th, organizers are also still trying to reach a fundraising goal of $100,000 to fund the rehab on both homes.
