FORT MYERS, Fla.- An armed robber wearing camouflage clothing and a red bandana over his face held up a Sunoco gas station early Friday morning.

Just after 3 a.m., the suspect entered the Sunoco, located at 2311 Buckingham Road, and pointed a gun at two female employees, demanding that they open the cash registers.

The man took an unknown amount of cash and told the women if they called 911, he would kill them, officials said.

The suspect then left on foot and headed southbound on Buckingham Road, possibly to a waiting vehicle parked near Winn-Dixie, authorities said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org.
