Employees zip-tied during Fort Myers Tijuana Flats robbery

FORT MYERS, Fla.- A late night robbery at the Tijuana Flats restaurant located on 8001 Dani Drive is under investigation, the Fort Myers Police Department said.

Investigators say around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man entered the business through an unlocked rear door.

The armed suspect ordered an employee to zip tie the other employees, police said, and then demanded money. The suspect then ran out the back door, authorities said.

A specific description of the suspect is not available. He may have left the scene in a black sedan parked behind the business, police said.
