SWFL Reading Festival just two weeks away

Published: Updated:

FORT MYERS, Fla – We are just two weeks away from the biggest literary event in Southwest Florida.

The Southwest Florida Reading Festival takes place Saturday, March 19 at Centennial Park and Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers.

The event draws between 18,000 to 20,000 people each year and has been named a top event.

Nearly two dozen top caliber authors will be in attendance this year, talking about their books and signing copies for fans.

One of those authors appeared Friday on WINK News This Morning. Trish Doller is a former newspaper reporter and radio host turned author. Her latest book “The Devil You Know” is based in Florida and is a dark thriller about a girl who goes on a road trip with young men she barely knows.

Doller takes the Teen Stage at the Southwest Florida Reading Festival at 1:15 p.m.

The Southwest Florida Reading Festival is a community project of WINK News and has something for all ages.

There will be multiple stages with authors sharing the ‘inside scoop’ about their latest books. There will also be numerous kids activities and shows to keep children mesmerized.

It’ll be a day you will thoroughly enjoy and one you will want to repeat every year! To learn more visit the reading festival’s webpage at www.readfest.org.
