Arthrex to add hundreds of jobs with new Ave Maria facility

NAPLES, Fla.- During Gov. Rick Scott’s visit to Naples on Thursday, Arthrex announced the company will be adding 350 jobs with the expansion of a new facility in Ave Maria.

The company, that designs and manufactures devices for orthopedic surgery, has already hired 260 people in the past year.

Scott says there aren’t many companies that have had the success that Arthrex has. The governor added Arthrex is not only solving the needs of physicians and patients, but they’re also contributing to the state’s record number of visitors.

“They have a lot of physicians that come here,” said Scott. “They have over 10,000 people come here every year just for training, and they spend money here and hopefully say ‘oh my gosh, this is the right place to live.'”

This week, Arthrex was also recognized by Fortune magazine as the third best workplace for manufacturing and production in the United States.
