MGN DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (AP) – Police say a 16-year-old baseball player likely didn’t hear the train that struck and killed him because he was wearing headphones as he walked along the railroad tracks in Delray Beach. According to a Delray Beach incident report, the train’s engineer saw Jesus Villalobos on the Florida East Coast Railway tracks Tuesday afternoon and sounded the horn repeatedly. He wasn’t able to stop and struck the teen. The Sun Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1Q2Jtr7 ) reports the teen was a student at Elev8 Sports Institute, which is a boarding school for student athletes. The teen was from Colombia and played on the school’s baseball team. Police say the boy may have been walking toward a local gym when he was struck.
