LCSO joins Chick-fil-A in holiday toy drive

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Starting Friday, you can hit the Chick-fil-A driveway for a good cause.

The fast food restaurant is partnering with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for a holiday toy drive that will brighten the faces of kids across Lee and Collier Counties.

In Lee County, five locations will accept toy donations through Dec. 18:

  • Cypress Lake, 13610 S. Tamiami Trail, Fort Myers, FL 33912
  • Colonial Boulevard, 4752 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33966
  • Estero, 21900 S. Tamiami Trail, Estero, FL 33928
  • Alico Road, 9980 Interstate Commerce Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33913
  • Pine Island Road, 1790 N.E. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, FL 33909

Leaders with the Lee County Sheriff’s Youth Activities League say the drive supports their mission to make a positive impact on kids in the community.

“Enrich their lives, start to build up moral character, teach them new skills and teach them to respect law enforcement. And especially in these days when we are having so much negativity against law enforcement, it’s really important to tell the kids that we are real people too, and we are there and care about the community,” said Lt. Larry King with LCSO.

Lee County deputies will hand out the toys as a part of their annual gift distributions to needy families at Christmas.
