MGN NAPLES, Fla.- A man accused of robbing and punching a woman in the face is now behind bars. Naples police say Eduardo Lopez-Abreu approached the victim while she was walking in the 1000 block of 1st Avenue South on Wednesday. The victim says Lopez-Abreu tried snatching her purse, knocking her to the ground. He then punched the woman in the face, attempting to get her to release her grip on the purse, police said, before running off to get in a vehicle waiting nearby. Lopez-Abreu is now facing charges for robbery by sudden snatching, battery on person 65 years of age or older, and grand theft.
