PINE ISLAND, Fla. – No engines needed here, as Estero River Outfitters welcome anglers to fish and raise money for the Wounded Warrior Anglers, all from paddle boards, kayaks and canoes. The annual fishing tournament takes place on The Calusa Blueway, a 190 mile marked paddling trail that meanders through the coastal waters and in-land water ways of Southwest Florida. Captains will meet at the Olde Fish House Marina in Matlacha on Friday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. Fishing starts the next day, Saturday morning and is Catch, photo and release, anglers with the largest size of three species will place to win. 1st place – A brand new Hobie Outback Kayak valued at $2,600 2nd place – $500 3rd place – $250 7th place – $150 13th place – $100 20th place – Entry in the 2016 tournament All anglers must be 18 years of age, entry is $65 for a single Paddlesport angler and $130 for a team of two.
