Officials: 4 dead in shooting in central Maine

OAKLAND, Maine (AP) – Authorities say four people are dead including the gunman who opened fire at a home in central Maine.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the shooting erupted Wednesday night in Oakland.

He says three two women and man were shot to death inside the home, where they lived with the gunman.

The shooter killed himself outside and his body was found in the driveway.

McCausland says a 4-year-old girl was found unharmed inside the house.

He identified the three victims as Amanda Bragg, 30; Michael Muzerolle, 29; and Amy Derosby, 28. The gunman was identified as Herman Derico, 42.

Investigators are still trying to determine a motive.
