NORTH PORT, Fla.- A 17-year-old North Port High School student is under arrest for arson. North Port police say on Wednesday, the student tried to light multiple areas of a classroom on fire using a lighter and a spray can as an accelerant. No injuries were reported, however, police say the entire school had to be evacuated because of the student’s actions. The teen is now facing a first-degree felony charge for starting the fire.
