LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – One man was hurt during an afternoon shooting in a neighborhood. Lee County deputies responded to a call about shots fired just after 1 p.m. in the area of 21st Street Southwest. Neighbors said they heard several gunshots and then saw a car speed off. A truck in the area also had a bullet hole in its side. “My mom said she was sitting at the kitchen table and she heard about 5 gun shots…. Things usually happens around us, not on our street,” she said. “Today, seeing all this by my house is kind of ridiculous,” said neighbor Audi Schmidt. Deputies said one man was hurt an taken to the hospital. It is unclear how he is doing tonight. LCSO said they are still investigating this incident. No arrests have been made. The scene was cleared and re opened to residents just before 6:30 this evening. Trust WINK News to update this story when we get more information.
