FORT MYERS, Fla.- Authorities are searching for a woman they say used a stolen credit card to rack up purchases across Lee County.

Earlier this week, the victim parked her car at the Brown Academy, located on Towne Lake Drive, to drop her child off at school.

Five minutes later, authorities say she returned to her car and found her Louis Vuitton purse, wallet, ankle bracelet and other valuables, totaling more than $5,000, had been stolen.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says the victim’s card was used at the Wal-Mart on Colonial Boulevard, as well as a nearby gas station.

The suspect also tried to use the card at a North Fort Myers Wal-Mart and a 7-Eleven on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, but both of the charges were declined.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the woman accused of using the stolen card before she left in a small white four door sedan.
