MGN MIAMI (AP) – Police in South Florida have charged a 14-year-old boy with manslaughter in connection with the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy. The Miami-Dade Police Department announced the arrest late Wednesday night after Jakyri Fleurimar was shot in the chest at a Miami home just before noon Wednesday. Officers had responded to the home following reports of a disturbance. Authorities say two other males and one female, ranging in age from 12 to 18, were at the home when Fleurimar was killed. The Associated Press generally doesn’t identify juveniles accused of crimes. Miami-Dade Detective Marjorie Eloi says detectives don’t believe anyone else was involved. Despite the arrest, police didn’t reveal whether the victim was targeted or killed by accident.
