Man's body pulled from water on FMB

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla.- A death investigation is underway on Fort Myers Beach after a man’s body was pulled out of the water just north of Diamondhead Resort.

Fort Myers Beach Fire Rescue tells WINK News the victim is approximately 50 years old and was about 30 feet offshore.

A witness said she saw a body floating the water. After the victim was pulled out, the witness says she watched first responders perform CPR.

The victim was taken to HealthPark hospital.
