NAPLES, Fla.- Tropical foods and drinks, music, and even a fire show were all part of a surprise luau for a young girl fighting leukemia. WINK News was at the Ritz in Naples on Friday where Victoria Law learned she and her family are going on a vacation in Hawaii. Shortly after the surprise Law admitted she “didn’t really know what to think!” The dream trip was granted by the South Florida chapter of the Make-A-Wish foundation. Victoria’s mom tells WINK News the opportunity to get away for a while is coming at a time when the family could really get away. Victoria has been in treatment for the last 18 months. “it’s been a rough couple of years. We really need to decompress,” Patricia Law said. On the seven day trip, the family will swim with dolphins, go horseback riding, attend a Hawaiian luau, and see beautiful sunsets. The South Florida chapter of “Make-A-Wish” grants a wish every 16 hours, and has granted more than 10,000 wishes since its creation in 1983.
