Bishop Verot to hold garage sale for student with bone cancer

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Students and faculty at Bishop Verot High School are hosting, what they’re calling, Southwest Florida’s largest garage sale to help a student.

Jacob Mejier, a sophomore who plays lacrosse and football at the school, found out he had bone cancer in January. To help his family with medical bills, the school, and its students, pledged to donate the proceeds of the garage sale to his family.

The school gym is packed with furniture, sports memorabilia, electronics, you name it! The sale is Saturday, March 28 from 7 p.m.- 2 p.m. at Bishop Verot High School located at  5598 Sunrise Drive.
