LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Neighbors helped authorities bust a grow house.

The occupant of the residence, 30-year-old Yensi Abreu, was arrested for cultivating and trafficking marijuana.

Residents of the neighborhood noticed that twice a day, the same man would stop at a home on the 1000 block of Carl Avenue. Each time, he would stay for about an hour and then leave.

Residents shared their suspicions with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 17, detectives conducted an investigation of the residence and garnered probable cause for a search warrant.

Inside the residence, they discovered an elaborate marijuana cultivation operation along with 42 adult marijuana plants weighing 175 pounds.

The street value of the marijuana seized is approximately $150,000.
