CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.- New details in a deadly crash that shut down traffic for hours on I-75 northbound Tuesday. Police say a 72-year-old woman from Indiana died in the crash. Her husband, 77-year-old Richard Isenhower is still in critical condition. State troopers say the driver of a tractor trailer is to blame for the multi-vehicle pileup. The trucker driver, identified as Robert Long from Fort Myers, was written a citation for careless driving. According to authorities, the couple was in their SUV which had come to a stop, when traffic slowed going over the Peace River Bridge. Troopers say the truck driver was to blame after failing to stop. Seven more cars crashed soon after that first wreck. Those drivers and passengers managed to walk away with only minor injuries.
