Man under arrest in Bonita Springs home shooting

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Authorities released new information about the terrifying moments inside a home just minutes before a deputy-involved shooting.

The shooting took place last week but 66-year-old George Larsen was placed under arrest Wednesday night.

Larsen’s wife told officials her husband was drunk and shooting guns inside the house.

Larsen appeared before a judge Thursday morning for the first time since the shooting.

The judge set his bail at $425,000. He also ordered that Larsen must stay away from his home on Red Hibiscus Drive and have no contact with his wife Sandy.

Larsen must also turn over all firearms, cannot have or consume any alcohol and must be fitted with a GPS.

His wife was also in the courtroom Thursday morning, she asked the judge if she could have contact with Larsen and said she’s not afraid of him.

However, the judge said until he has more information that Larsen is not a danger to his wife, he needs to find somewhere else to live.

Larsen is facing four felony counts including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and intent to kill. His next court date is in March.
