Hit-and-run victim speaks out

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A Southwest Florida visitor says that it’s a miracle he’s alive. He claims a car came out of nowhere and hit him on alligator alley.

It happened while Dan Guba was walking to find help because his car ran out of gas by mile marker 94.
“I know it was an accident, nobody would do that on purpose but you still have to own up to your mistakes,” said Guba, “but assuming that you didn’t know someone was hurt, now you do.”

Guba says that when his doctor was cleaning out the bone chips from his elbow, he also found some green paint chips from the vehicle that hit him.
