Lehigh’s Emmitt Williams goes for a dunk. The District 6A-12 tournament championship was the top dog against the underdog. Top-seeded Lehigh was hoping to avoid the upset against sixth-seeded Barron Collier. But no luck for the Cougars, the Lightning jumped out to an early lead, thanks in part to Abed Abu-Khadier — who had a nice spin move in the first quarter. Lehigh would lead 28-16 at the half. Lehigh freshman Emmitt Williams wasn’t much of a factor in the first half, but he made up for it in the second half with two exclamation-point slams. Lehigh goes on to win the district title, 71-52.
