Terrence Cody indicted for animal cruelty

FORT MYERS, Fla.- An NFL star from Southwest Florida has been caught in a major scandal.

Terrence Cody, 26, who played for the Baltimore Ravens, was just charged in a disturbing animal abuse case involving a dead dog.

The State Attorney’s Office says they do not believe Cody was fighting dogs.

A Grand Jury indicted Cody on animal cruelty charges and faces 15 counts including aggravated animal cruelty and animal abuse.

Cody also faces charges for illegally having an alligator.

Authorities were first alerted to all of this by a veterinarian that treated Cody’s dog which had severe injuries
That dog later died.
