Australia Day SWFL style

Published: Updated:
FORT MYERS, Fla. – January 26th marks Australia Day, a celebration of the first English ships to land on the continent. Even in the United Sates you can join in on the fun, thanks to one local Southwest Florida business.

The Calamondin Cafe is featuring some of their unique calamondin Australian dishes and pastries. Like a smaller version of an orange, a calamondin is a tart citrus, with a very thin skin grown in Australia and Florida.

The Calamondin Cafe uses the fruit to create a variety of pastries, jams and jelly. To view recipes for their Australian Day favorites, click here.

You can even try some Calamondin Souffle and other Australian fair by just wearing the national colors, green and gold into the Calamondin Cafe on Monday.

The Calamondin Cafe is located at 7970 Summerlin Lakes Drive.
