MGN Online FORT MYERS, Fla. – Police are searching for a a suspect involved in a deadly hit and run crash early Sunday morning. It happened at 1:37 a.m. at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Palm Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a green Kia Soul flipped over on the side of the roadway. Officers said the car had hit a tree. The driver was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital and later died as a result of the crash injuries. Witnesses told police a 2012-2013 white or pearl colored Kia Optima had fled the scene after the crash. The Optima should have extensive front end damage and may have an air bag deployed.
