WINK News Feeds Families Hunger Walk just 10 days away

LEE COUNTY, Fla – The WINK News Feeds Families Hunger Walk is just ten days away and we need your help to reach our goal.

The goal for the hunger walk is $315,000, and as of Wednesday we are only half way to our goal.  This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Harry Chapin Food Bank, which serves 150 partner agencies in the five county area.

The Harry Chapin Food Bank can turn every dollar raised into $6 worth of food.  The food bank has long established relationships with food producers and rescues food that would otherwise go to waste.

Thirty-thousand people a month are helped by the Harry Chapin Food Bank, and 40 percent of those served are children.

The WINK News Feeds Families Hunger Walk is Saturday, January 17, 2105 at the Miromar Outlets in Estero.
