NAPLES, Fla.- Jason Day and Cameron Tringale won this year’s Franklin Templeton Shootout. Throughout the tournament, WINK Sports talked to several PGA golfers about the competition.

Brant Snedeker said, “(It’s a) great event, great golf course, and if you don’t have fun here, you need to find another job because we have some fun out there.”

Graeme McDowell said, “This is such a fun event. Especially when you’re playing with a good friend.”

“The whole environment is great. We do one night out down on 5th street. It’s fantastic. Old Naples is great to walk around. Got a great atmosphere,” said defending champion Matt Kuchar.

Steve Stricker said, “We come for the sun and the warm weather and the beaches over here in Naples,” referring to his family, “It’s a great place to come and there’s a lot to do.”

Wearing orange pants and a blue belt, Florida Gator, Billy Horschel said, “I always bring some orange and blue. It just depends on how I feel if I want to wear some Gator colors. Obviously, I like to support the Gators whenever I can.”

“A lot of pretty views,” said defending champion, Harris English, ” It’s just a fun event. This is my second time playing and I’ll be here as long as they’ll have me.”

Tournament coordinator and World Golf Hall of Fame member, Greg Norman, said, “You get in this great position where you can pick the brains of other people, because they’re older and more mature. They’ve been around and they want to give back. That’s the position that, fortunately, I can be in now. I’ve done it for a few players and I hope to continue do it for a few more players going forward.”
