Day and Tringale split $770,000 with the victory. • As a member of the winning team, Cameron Tringale became the 11th event in his first attempt. It also marks the second year in succession the event has had a player win in his first appearance. Harris English did so in 2013. • Cameron Tringale became the second Georgia Tecah product in as many years to be on the winning team at the Franklin Templeton Shootout. Matt Kuchar, another former Tech product, was on the winning team a year ago. • The team of Jerry Kelly and Steve Stricker, playing together for the seventh straight year, had the day’s best round in the Better-Ball format, a 12-under-par 60. • The team of Billy Horschel and Ian Poulter rebounded from a three-way tie for last place after the opening round with scores of 65-61 the final two days to finish T3 along with Keegan Bradley and Camilo Villegas, who matched Horschel and Poulter’s 61. • Despite finishing second, the team of Matt Kuchar and Harris English posted some impressive numbers in their two-year run together. The pair was a combined 65-under-par in their six rounds at the Franklin Templeton Shootout. • Matt Kuchar started his day by competing in the Franklin Templeton Shootout 5K. Kuchar finished 19th Kuchar’s wife, Sybi, also competed in the race. annual Franklin Templeton Shootout in wire-to-wire fashion. The duo finished with a player to win the overall in a field of 355 runners and was second in his age group (35-39).
