LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A woman tells WINK News she was taking out her trash early in the morning last week when a man attacked her right outside her home.

Neighbors are on alert at the Covered Wagon Mobile Home Park  near US 41 and Corkscrew Road in Estero.
The victim, who doesn’t want to be identified, said she was able to kick the man in his groin and break free.

She says she was taking out the trash just before 6 a.m. last Wednesday when she noticed a man around the dumpsters. The victim told deputies the man started shouting at her.

“I turned and noticed he started following me, I just walked faster, he kept yelling at me and I just kept walking,” said the victim.

“Next thing I knew, I was at my door, he was right behind me, opened my door and shoved me in. He attacked me, thank God I was able to kick him and he ran out my door,” she said.

Deputies are now heavily patrolling the area and passing out flyers with the suspects sketch.

Officials describe the suspect as a Hispanic male around 40 years old, who is around 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6.

Deputies say the man was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, faded jeans and a black hat.
