Fort Myers man in critical condition after hitting construction truck

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – An 88-year-old North Fort Myers man is in critical condition after he ran into the back of a construction truck.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened at US 41 and Lake Fairways Boulevard 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

John Ragen was driving south on US 41 when he hit a tack oil truck, parked in the lane. The southbound lane was closed due to construction. No one was in the truck at the time, but the flashing lights were activated.
