Today, Hollywood, FL musician SloFunkPump announced the release of "Santa Please '09," a holiday song dedicated to American troops.
Supporting our troops is a cause that has a personal meaning for SloFunkPump. "When my cousin was 17, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Having him overseas for the holidays and hearing how he and other Marines dealt with being away from their families really hit home," says the musician.
Frequently referred to as SloFunkPump's perennial SloFunkHoliday tune, "Santa Please" has been a holiday favorite for Hollywood fans for 5 years running. Each year SloFunkPump releases a revamped version of the song.
"'Santa Please' evolves every year. This year, 'Santa Please '09' is dedicated to our troops overseas who've sacrificed spending the holidays with their family to serve their country."
"Santa Please '09" is featured on iTunes, where users can download the song or email it to friends and family. Users can also find last year's version of the song on iTunes at itunes.com/Slofunkpump. The "Santa Please '09" video is available at youtube.com/slofunkproductions. For updates about the band, follow SloFunkPump on Twitter under usernames SloFunkTweet and SantaPlease.
