Kearra Goodall prepares for her first day of kindergarten by putting on her school uniform. At age 5 she will be catching the bus for the first time today. Kearra is attending North Fort Myers Academy for the Arts although she resides in Cape Coral, FL. Her parents felt that the school offered her a greater curriculum and a broad spectrum of the arts programs to help enhance her learning experience. The almost hour bus ride to and from school each day is worth it, they say.
As they helped dress their little girl this morning Mrs. Goodall couldn't help but shed a few tears as her first child brazenly walked to the school bus and stepped one foot in front of the other into her new life as a kindergartener. "I was so happy and yet so sad", says Goodall. "My baby didn't even look back as she got on that bus. I'm proud of her and a little bit nervous."
We've all felt that tear jerk at us as our first child prepares to enter a new chapter of their lives. School is an inevitable part of life and Kearra Goodall is repeating the tradition of generations past today.

THATS TRUELY SAD. THE FACT THAT A PARENT THINKS AN HOUR BUS RIDE IS WORTH IT FOR A CHILD ENTERING KINDERGARTEN. I DONT CARE HOW GOOD THE SCHOOL CLAIMS TO BE. IF IT WERE THAT FANTASTIC, MOVE CLOSER. HAVE SOME COMPASSION FOR THIS CHILD.
