At about three this afternoon there was a 4 car smash on Rte 41 southbound by Vanderbilt Beach road in north NaplesThe first two vehicles suffered minor damage while the 3rd a small Nissan (shown in the picture) was smashed by a much larger Titan. The front end of the Titan was to the rear window of the Nissan with the rear window glass on the hood of the Titan. The I believe elderly woman in the Nissan. seemed to have hit the windshield and then was fallen back into the seat the seat snapped and she ended up in the back seat. Firefighters and EMT/Paramedics had to use the jaws of life to extricate her from the car. She also appeared to have a severe leg laceration that may have been an exposed bone. Though they were one block from Naples Community Hospital she was Life Flighted in the direction of Fort Myers perhaps to Lee Memorial. The female driver of the Titan was walked to a waiting ambulance and the male occupant in the first car was also transported out by ambulance. It seemed no one in the second car was transported
