Location: Fort Myers, FL, near the Ortiz Ave, Flea Market.

Over the last few years, the residents of the Lazy J Mobile Home and RV Park have noticed a massive increase in drug related activity in the neighborhood, to which local law enforcement seems to do nothing about. In the area behind the Ortiz Avenue Flea Market, on Heiman and Apollo Drive(s), are at least a dozen homes out of which a variety of drugs are sold, including marijuana, cocaine, crack, and heroin. At the intersection of Dryden and Golden Lake Roads, drug deals can be seen throughout the day and night, where cars will stop at the intersection, and wait for someone to cross the ditch between Golden Lake and the end of Ballard, and make a deal, then drive off, only to come back a couple hours later.

Unfortunately, even after many calls to the Lee County Sheriff Department, the suspicious activity has increased. The residents of the mobile home park has heard many gunshots, day and night, and only rarely does law enforcement seem to respond.

It's time for the law abiding citizens of Fort Myers to stand up and put an end to the drug trade! Law enforcement, to date, seems impotent in protecting this great county from the filth of it's underworld.

And to think my father built the house @ 2580 Dryden Circle years ago and I was thinking of buying it back just to have it back in the family again but that neighborhood is soooo bad now.....I feel for the neighbors that still live there when I did.

Any house located on a one way in and one way out street like those in that neighborhood are prime realestate for drug dealers and the riff raff that patronize them. When I was younger you could see a patrol car twice or three times a day.Not now.
