-- Hi there,
My name is Evelyn Kish and I am 28 years old and live in Naples, Fl. I am an avid reader and watcher of your news program, and feel that I have a story that is somewhat similar to "The work bracelet" story, however, my news over here seems to have that silver lining that may motivate the community that there is hope out there for the unemployed in these harsh economic times. Formally educated at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, I have experience in Communications, Internet advertising, and a minor in Media. I have been actively searching for a job since October 2008, and in January 2009 had decided to pull all of my skills, hardwork and education together to make ends meet to pay things like, ironically, my college loans. I started my own business on the internet called "The Wreath Connection.Com", and derrived it from all of the skills and Creativity that I had researched for many years in my field. I was fortunate to have grown up in Pennsylvania which appealed to a lot of people in the community here, because the Pennsylvania Dutch country styles are getting harder and harder to find. So then I took it all a step further. I decided to mix the current economic status with my business in the sense of researching the actual benifits of wreaths and what they do, simply having them hanging in your home. I started making my own potpurri from dried fruits, and mixing oils to create a true aromatheraputic experience. Some of my wreaths are able to lessen stress, tension, promote relaxation, soothe arthritus, and create focus. This was a branding technique that seemed to come in just the right time. Following with current social media, I have participated in link exchange for free advertising, I have commercials on youtube, a facebook page, myspace, features on Craigslist, Ebay listings, and a hot sign of the times, a following on Twitter.com. I believe my ideas with this business are going to blow up very big eventually, and wanted to let the community know about Hope, and preserverance in tight times, and I wanted to show also that there is a venue out there in home decor ( which is a rarity) that actually will make the day go better simply by being in my products presence. Here in Southwest Florida, it is probably the most difficult to find motivational pieces of encouragement and confidence in finding the successes you deserve. This story is a representation of what our community is capable of. If you would like to research me before a reply, I have 175 page blog under wreathconnections@wordpress.com, If you google me, you will find most of the information you will need. More importantly, check out the site at www.wreathconnection.com.

Sincerely,

Evelyn Kish
