I have been a fan since my dad (Mark Martin Fan) introduced me to NASCAR when I was about 7 years old. Since then I have religiously been there every Sunday to watch em trade paint. My first race was a NASCAR Busch series race when I was stationed out in California in the military. Since then I have come to realize that it is good on TV but there is nothing like the sounds and the smells of being at a NASCAR facility. I have been to several different tracks (California, Atlanta, Daytona, Talladega, Homestead) and I have seen that no matter where you are NASCAR fans are family. It is an experience that I love to share with my family as we try to attend at least one to two races every year. This year we were fortunate enough to witness the phenomenon that is Talladega..an experience that everyone should get to endure. I think our most memorable moment though was just a few months ago when we were at Homestead for the championship race and while at the track my wife won a contest that got us into the Direct TV VIP lounge and a chance to see NASCAR from the inside. We got to meet all of the pre-race entertainment such as Paul and Mikey from American Chopper. Had a private conference with Richard Childress and Clint Bowyer the day after he won the Nationwide Championship. And if that was not enough she got us into Victory Lane with Jack Rousch and Carl Edwards where my son was given gifts and treated like a king. I love NASCAR because it is the only sport I know that is kind enough to let you sit and chat and hang out with your real heroes. They are all down to earth and really care about their fans and are passionate about their sport. I am an amateur photographer and have even started a website with all of the wonderful pictures that I have taken. It was so hard for me to chose just three but if anyone is interested and seeing some good pictures of this great sport and also to back up my story. LOL. You can check me out at..http://www.pbase.com/mongoose26/races please feel free to browse all you want, I love to showcase NASCAR and all of the great people that represent it. Although the man who introduced me to this sport is gone I will carry on the tradition for years to come.
