Just when you thought you have seen it all in Christmas light decorating Ridge Harbor Christmas has raised the bar for decorating enthusiasts across the country. This year’s display features approximately 300,000 lights (an increase of 50,000 over last year.

The feature element of the 2008 display is the new MONSTER MEGA TREE! The MMT is the first and largest tree of its kind in the country. With 19,600 lights and controlled by 104 computer channels, this tree executes sequences unequaled by other so called “Mega Trees”. The MMT was designed, engineered and programmed by property owner Robin Stublen.

New items include Alvin and the Chipmunks performing their famous Christmas Song. Santa will make his annual visits on December 13th and 20th from 7pm to 9pm. Boys and girls should be accompanied by an adult so parents bring your cameras to take their free pictures. Free popcorn and candy canes will be given out on those evenings. Also, as a special bonus on Sat. December 20th the first 50 children who visit Santa will receive a free CD from Judy Pancoast, author and performer of the song House On Christmas Street.

Ridge Harbor Christmas operating hours are Sunday thru Thursday 6pm to 10pm,Friday and Saturday 6pm to 11pm. Come join the fun at Ridge Harbor Christmas and don’t forget to turn your car radio to 106.1 FM so you can listen to the music and watch the lights from the comfort of your car.

As always Ridge Harbor Christmas collects contributions for the Punta Gorda Kiwanis and the Kiwanis Foundation of Charlotte County. Thanks to the kindness of visitors Ridge Harbor Christmas has collected over $6,000.00 during the past three years.
