Brush fires started in the Everglades Saturday , November 31, 2008 in the afternoon, just off of Route 41 approaching South 41 going toward Miami. Black smoke filled the sky billowing up to the clouds ,as several cars pulled over for a closer look. The flames came close to the road as the Cypress and Palm trees cracked to the intensity of the fire. Mother nature beckoned for some relief of a heavy rain, then she received her answer to a prayer on Sunday.
