Fire engulfed a lehigh acres home at 2.30am on sunday morning, burning it almost to the ground. I was two blocks away in my home sleeping when I heard a load boom. Looking out the back door there was a great ball of fire pushing up black smoke fiercely into the sky. The home, on 68 street and Olive Ave, burned within 20 -30 mins, with the roof completely burned off. The immediate neighbors were running out when I got there, grabbing their two pets and important items. Their house remained in serious danger of burning also until the fire rescue got their around 2:50am.

All the thoughts and people saying that these kids did this for an ins. scam are totlaly wrong. I know the people who lived there, and they were renters not owners. So ask yourselfs how would they profit from that?

Who ever wrote that is absolutly correct, renters ins. is never going to cover everything you have in your home. It is almost always a huge loss, and impossible to regain all you once had with what ever funds you recieve. Not a very smart move!!!!!!

I know the "owners" very well. They also would NEVER do this, not to themselves and not to anyone else. When it comes down to it, it is just a sad situation all around. All any of us can do is say a prayer for the boy in the hospital...
