As part of the National Red Ribbon Week Celebration, The Coalition for a Drug-Free Florida honored the following students at the 19th Annual Red Ribbon Luncheon, Tuesday, October 28th at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater in Fort Myers:
A highlight of the event was the presentation of the Kiki Camerena Award to Dr. James W. Browder, Superintendent of the Lee County School District. This award is presented only when a recipient shows extraordinary dedication to keeping the children of Lee County free from drugs, tobacco and alcohol. Through his term as superintendent, Dr. Browder has demonstrated his commitment to schoolchildren and their families through his support of the Coalition’s Drug House Odyssey, the Annual Red Ribbon Community Celebration, and the Lee County School’s Safe and Drug Free Communities Program. Dr. Browder was joined by school board members Jeanne Dozier, Dr. Jane Kuckel, Dr. Eleanor Scricca and Steven Teuber at the luncheon.
