Bonitas Riverside park will soon have a new steel bridge going across the Imperial River. The pilings are driven on the south side of the Imperial River and there's a crane there to lift the barge sections off the trucks and into the water for the pile driver to float on.
Right now the bridge appears to go nowhere but actually there is more of the park property on the far side of the Imperial River so the bridge is being installed to connect the two parcels of land.
This is a really nice park and it is well kept by the Bonita Parks and Recreation people. No trash and no bums hanging out so it's a nice place for a picnic or just to sit and watch the birds and Iguanas too I might add.
The bridge location is very picturesqe and shoud be a nice addition to the parks ammenities.
