Ft. Myers’ newest college will be holding its grand opening celebration on Tuesday, August 26, in celebration of its new presence in Ft. Myers and its first class of students.
The Rasmussen College grand opening will take place from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the campus located at 9160 Forum Corporate Parkway in the Ft .Myers Forum and will include an appearance by Councilman Tom Leonardo of Ft. Myers Ward 6, Director of the Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Leo Garcia, Rasmussen College Regional Vice President Eric Rasmussen, and Campus Director Eric Whitehouse.
Plus, Charlie Lopez, a Rasmussen College student who began school in July, will speak on behalf of Rasmussen students.
The speakers will take the podium and cut the ceremonial ribbon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Included at the Grand Opening celebration is catering by Pop’z BBQ and Catering, prize drawings, tours of the campus, and a first look at the Rasmussen College mascot.
The community of Ft. Myers is invited to attend and celebrate the newest educational addition to the City.
“Rasmussen College strives to be a community leader, and we are excited about celebrating our big day with the people of Ft. Myers,” Campus Director Eric Whitehouse said. “We have felt so welcome within the community, and we’re looking forward to giving back.”
The Ft. Myers college campus is the third Florida campus for Rasmussen College. Other campuses are located in Illinois, Minnesota, and North Dakota.
