Our dog Cajun is a 31/2 year old Rodesian Ridgeback/Lab Mix. He has been apart of our family since he was 6 months old. We came across his picture on the petfinder website August of 2005. he was a runaway who was found wandering the streets of Immokalee. When we met his he was with a "foster family" based out of Collier County Animal League. He was skinny, afraid of everything, and very much a puppy. While on the run, he was hit by a car which broke his hip and pelvic bone. It ended up healing on it's own since no owner came to claim him. We believe since he was so skittish and afraid of certain people and objects that he may have been beaten. He now is a very happy and healthy pup. He loves to swim and can even go under water. He loves to be the center of attention and will let you know when he wants your attention. He loves to play with his tennis ball and is great at catch. He plays football with his very own ball. Sometimes you would think he is human and we've had to resort to spelling certain things in front of him. He is extremely smart, sometimes too smart. He is very affectionate and attentive. He went from being homeless on the street to having a family who adores him. One of the photo's submitted his of Cajun at the beach looking at starfish. He loves to go on the boat and go fishing, even has his own life jacket.

Glad he has finally found a family and a loving home. I have a RR and I know they are too smart for us. He looks so happy
