rain flood county

I live in Glennwood which is a neighborhood located off of Idlewild and Plantation. The county has begun construction on the Plantation Extention that will connect Veronica Shoemaker and Plantation Rd.. The only problem is that all of the water runoff from the construction is flooding my neighborhood. I have called the county but they do not seem too concerned about it. The only thing they would say was that they would take a look at it in a couple of weeks. I do not have a couple of weeks for Lee county to make a decision--if it rains heavy again today my road will be completely under water and I do not see it getting any better. If I can't drive down my road to get back and forth to work is the county going to reimburse me??? I don't think so!!!
