On or about 7:45 pm on June 24th, 2008, a small rain cell with lightning came across western charlotte county in eastern east englewood. The lightning strike hit between Helicon and Gladiola street in a llightly populated neighborhood. Englewood and Charlotte County Fire/EMS responded to apprx a 1/3 of an acre brushfire. The photos were taken before the fire depts arrival. No homes were damaged.
