Expert Offers Solutions to Rising Energy Costs
Kiwanis Club Hosts Speaker on Solar Power
PINE ISLAND, Fla. (May 5, 2008) – The Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island will host Russell Smith, electric and solar expert, as their speaker this Friday, May 9 at 7:30 a.m. at Bert’s of Matlacha. Smith, owner of ENR Enterprises Incorporated, will speak on how solar power can be used to address rising energy costs. He will also speak on energy issues that impact homeowners during hurricane season.
The Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island welcomes the community to the meeting with breakfast starting at 7:30 a.m. and Russell Smith’s presentation at 8 a.m. The presentation is free and breakfast costs five dollars.

How can we expect ANY change in the 'status quo' if those in power, that actually HAVE influence and CAN do something, choose to stand by and do NOTHING. How can we expect the avg citizen to afford the cost of a solar (PV) system? @25-50k & up?
